Ivystar padded into her den and glanced around. There was soft bedding and enough space for atleast three cats. Everything she wanted in there was here but still she felt hollow and lonely.

Nettleclaw padded over to the leader's den, slightly uncertain of himself. Would Ivystar listen if he talked to her? Nobody really listened to the young tom anymore. "Ivystar?" he called uncertainly.

Ivystar glanced over her shoulder to see Nettleclaw, a young tom. She sat down on her moss nest and beckoned him in with a sweep of her tail. "Yes, Nettleclaw?"

Ivystar was taken by surprise. She had never known that Nettleclaw was ready to take on an apprentice. "Well," she meowed," you can but I going to have to look. I can't find you an apprentice so soon."
